Recommended Motion:

Dave Lubs, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, recommends that the Board of Education ratify the commercial warrants issued from December 19, 2016 through January 27, 2017.  These warrants total $1,361,665.52

Recommended Motion:

Recommended Motion:

Recommended Motion:
Christiane Gervais, Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve the Overnight Field Trip request for up to forty South Pasadena High School Coding Club students and their advisor, Garrett Shorr, to participate in a "24-Hour Hackathon", held in Los Angeles, California, from Saturday, February 18, 2017 to Sunday, February 19, 2017.

Recommended Motion:

VI.18. Approval of Non-Public School Placement - LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve placement for a middle school student to attend Villa Esperanza, a non-public school in Pasadena, for the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year. The cost of tuition for the balance of this school year is $26,070 and will be paid from Resource Code 65000.0.




VI.19. Approval of Non-Public School Placement - LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve continued placement for a high school student to attend The HELP Group STEM3, a non-public school in Valley Glen, for the 2016-2017 school year. The cost of tuition is $48,252 and will be paid from Resource Code 65000.0.




VI.20. Approval of Non-Public School Placement – LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve placement for a middle school student to attend The Hillside School and Learning Center, a non-public school in La Crescenta, for the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year. The cost of tuition is $7,832 for the balance of this school year and will be paid from Resource Code 65000.0.



VI.21. Approval of Non-Public School Placement – LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve placement for a middle school student to attend The HELP Group STEM3, a non-public school in Valley Glen, for the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year. The cost of tuition is $13,666 for the balance of this school year and will be paid from Resource Code 65000.0.





VI.22. Approval of Non-Public School Placement - LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve placement for a high school student to attend The HELP Group North Hills Prep, a non-public school in Van Nuys, for the remainder of the 2016-2016 7 school year. The cost of tuition is $20,007 and will be paid from Resource Code 65000.0.


VI.23. Approval of Non-Public School Placement - LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve continued placement for a high school student to attend The HELP Group Westview, a non-public school in Culver City, for the 2016-2017 school year. The cost of tuition is $33,410 and will be paid from Resource Code 65000.0.




VI.24. Approval of Non-Public School Placements - LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve continued placement for two elementary students and one middle school student  to attend Villa Esperanza, a non-public school in Pasadena, for the 2016-2017 school year, including ESY 2017. The cost of tuition for all three students is $137,200 and will be paid from Resource Code 65000.0.



VI.25. Approval of Parent Mileage Reimbursement – LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve mileage reimbursement to the parents of a special education elementary school student who attends a non-public school in La Crescenta. The total payment for mileage reimbursement for daily round-trip costs for the 2016-2017 school year will not exceed $2,675. 



VI.26. Approval of a Non-Public Agency to Provide Speech and Language and Assistive Technology Services – LEFEVRE
Recommended Motion:

Dr. Dennis Lefevre, Executive Director of Student Support Services, recommends that the Board of Education approve Speech and Language and Assistive Technology services for the 2016-2017 school year for a special education student, per their Individual Education Plan (IEP). Services will be provided by Villa Esperanza., a Non-Public Agency. The cost of services is $5,467 and will be paid from Resource Code 65000.0.
